With this show a little over a week away I wish I would have made plans to adventure out to LA for the opening. It sounds like it’s gonna be one amazing event. For it I did my take on the white rabbit which may be my favorite piece that I have sculpted yet. I’ll post some photos of it once the show is up and running.

American McGee’s Alice: Madness Returns, we’ll be celebrating at G1988: Melrose with an art show and party you won’t want to miss. With artwork, inspired by the video game series, from G1988 regulars like NC Winters, Chet Zar, Ruel Pascual and Luke Chueh, G1988 newcomers like Alex CF, Cate Rangel and Adam S. Doyle. In addition to that work, we’ll have VERY limited edition screenprints inspired by the game from Rhys Cooper, Kevin Tong, Ken Taylor, James Flames, Phantom City Creative and Angryblue. Also, making his G1988 debut, clothing designer Dr. Romanelli will unveil his creation for the game and American McGee, which I can’t wait to see. AND if that wasn’t enough, we’ll have artwork actual Alice game designers, which will include sketches and notes from the game’s creation, girls in Alice costumes serving drinks and celebrity DJs. There’s a special E3 private reception on Wednesday, June 8th and a public reception on June 9th, both from 7-10 PM. You’ll hang out at this one if you know what’s good for you.

Tuesday, June 7th I will be having a solo show at The Plaza Theater here in Atlanta where I will focus on smaller, fuzzier critters in the Lands of Revilo. Some will be wall mounted like my other recent creatures and others will be full body pieces. Below are 2 of the varmints that will be three dimensional for the show.

The show will open at 8pm and then at 9:30 there will be a screening of The Dark Crystal! They will also show the film 2 other times on June 10th at midnight and June 11th at 3:00.

I’ll have more details on the event as I get further along with my pieces.

Saturday February 5th I will have one of my sculptures (my sea snail) in a group show at OhNo!Doom in Chicago. The exhibit opens from 6-10pm and will run through February 26.

For the past 7 years H.C. Warner’s Alcove Gallery has been a staple in the Atlanta art scene. Please come out this Saturday for the last opening before this awesome venue closes its doors. Warner is having one final blowout of an art opening called Ignition, opening Dec. 11. I will be traveling to Miami this December 2-5 to be a part of Multiversal Group show during Art Basel.

Art Basel Miami Beach is the most important art show in the United States – a cultural and social highlight for the Americas. As the sister event of Switzerland’s Art Basel, it is the most prestigious art show worldwide for the past 40 years. In that spirit, for the duration of Art Basel, the Multiversal group show will feature a unique series of exhibitions showcasing the works of many talented artists from around the world.

Multiversal 2010 will feature both established and emerging names from around the world. Their media spans the fine arts including: live art, sculpture, animation, photography, body painting, custom toys and more. Around all of this will swirl a vortex of aerialists, burlesque and belly dancers, exhibitionists, extemporaneous theater, all to the rhythm of live and recorded music – truly a Multiversal human experience.

I will be part of this custom show featuring a great line-up of toy customizers.
