Hey Reese, thanks for all of the great advice! I will totally take that knowledge with me into the next mold making process. I had made a two part mold before and really like how easy the 1 part is. Thanks again! – Brian

Hey just thought I might throw a few tips your way for the next time you make a mold and cast.
First if your box (your plastic CD case) leaked, try using some regular clay to help seal off
the edges. I usually mix my mold max with a paint stir. It is reall helpful if you can use a
paper or flexible plactic container with a flat bottom, that way you can scrap the sides really
well. It takes about 12-18 hours to set up, so its worth taking your time to mix it real well,
those white streaks can reduce the shelf life or strength of your mold. I also learned that if
you pour the silicone from 2 or 3 feet above your piece it helps to remove the air bubbles from
the silicone (the real pros use a vacum chamber to suck out the bubbles). Also pour your mold
from the lowest point and let it fill in (try not to pour directly on your piece), that will
also help reduce air bubbles. As far as cutting the mold, sometimes its easier to make a two
part mold, though I would have someone teach you. It really help lengthen the life of your mold.
It looks like you did an excellent job with the whole process. the pieces look like they came out
great. Just some tips for next time. Keep on sculpting!

Thanks! It's getting awfully close to being done. I used Magic Sculpt for the sculpting. If you pick any up, be sure to pick up some latex gloves as well.
