Small Lego Zombie Canvases

I wanted to make some small canvases that would be affordable pieces for the upcoming Art-B-Que festival in Avondale (just outside of Atlanta). I decided to do a series of Lego Zombie pieces. Each one is 4″ x 3″. These will go on sale at 10am at the festival on June 13th. If you’re in the area it should not be missed. You can now buy them here.

Lego Zombie Canvases – WIP

I’ve started a small series of little Lego Zombie canvases (4″ x 3″). I wanted to have some pieces that were really affordable at the Art-B-Que festival coming up and thought it would be a good way to get some of my art into more homes. This is just the very beginning of these pieces. Hopefully I’ll make a lot of progress tonight after work. Stay tuned for updated pics in the next few days.

I finished up “Under the Shroud of Darkness” last night for the upcoming Into the Darkness Show at 1:am San Francisco and took a couple of pictures before work today. I wish my buddy Drew could have shot it with his nice SLR camera but he’s over in Italay celebrating his honeymoon. So hopefully you’ll get the overall mood of the canvas.

I wanted to share more work-in-progress pics of my canvases. I’m currently workin on a piece for “Into the Darkness” to compliment my Teddy Trooper. This group of photos takes it from the point of having the finalized drawing to about half way through the painting process. I won’t be showing final photos of the canvas until after the show opens on June 5. Speaking of the show, it looks like I’m gonna be heading out to San Francisco for it! Anyone that lives out that way and can make it to the show, I’d love to chat with some folks at the event.

Tightened Up Drawings of Upcoming Canvases

I wanted to continue sharing my process on how I do my canvases. After taking the rough sketch out of my little sketchbook I scan it in, and crop it off to a proportional size that the canvas will be. I print it out in a really light gray and then draw a tightened up version on that. Here’s 2 of them. The vulture piece is missing some background elements, but I’ll do that on a new print out.
